Hello, and welcome to my Web site!
Blue Lagoon

I'm a freelance translator and teacher (French/English) living in culturally vibrant Montréal, Quebec, Canada.  A vegetarian, an environmentalist, and an animal lover, I enjoy reading, gardening, music, dance, and the theatre. The name of my shop refers both to my own name and to the title of a well-known play by Noel Coward (Blithe Spirit). Coward took his title from the first line of Shelley’s beautiful poem - "To a Skylark” (1820).  My jewellery creations are thus an expression of my own “blithe spirit.”

I am awed and inspired by the beauty of semi-precious    stones and find that just touching them can bring a sense of peace, harmony, and groundedness, so I aim to create jewellery (for both men and women) that is enjoyable to wear and evokes a sense of oneness with nature. Animals in various forms are also a frequent presence in my creations.

I'm also drawn to glass, crystal, pearls, wood, mother-of-pearl, and ceramic beads, so you'll see a little bit of everything in my collection. I enjoy experimenting with new techniques and materials, and, in the coming months, I hope to add polymer clay beads and pendants to my line.

I hope you enjoy your visit to my site.  Please feel free to sign my guest book and to visit my on-line store, where you’ll find complete details about my work, or to contact me directly with any comments or questions.Turquoise extravaganza

Hail to thee, blithe Spirit!/ Bird thou never wert---/ That from Heaven or near it/ Pourest thy full heart/ in profuse strains of unpremeditated art.   Shelley
